From The Culture is a venture studio and media ecosystem where we build companies designed to shape what’s next. It is rooted in my own journey as a founder, seeing firsthand how underrepresented founders were overlooked or underestimated, and deciding to build a firm that helps them reach real success. Today, Vettable AI is one of our flagship platforms, reimagining how startups and investors connect by making due diligence faster, sharper, and AI-driven. Through Vettable and our broader venture work, we currently have 24 startups in our portfolio, each tied to culture, technology, and the kind of scale that can define entire categories. Beyond building, I spend my time working with founders, VCs, and Wall Street, not just launching products but helping shape how capital and culture intersect.
How has being part of the Labour Temple community influenced your work or business culture?
Labour Temple has been an inspiring place to work. My door is always open here. I have had countless conversations with founders who just need a straight answer or a new perspective, and I love being able to share what I have learned as both a successful founder and a VC. The podcast room and the community energy inside this building are helping create a hub for ideas, a place where entrepreneurs can plug in and level up. That spirit of collaboration makes the work I am doing at From The Culture even stronger.
What's one piece of advice or mindset shift you wish more people knew?
Most people think tomorrow just arrives. It does not. Tomorrow is built by the people willing to move before the world gives them permission. If you are waiting for the right conditions, you have already lost. Start with what you have, where you are, and build momentum until the inevitable catches up. That is how you create companies that do not just participate in the future, they define it. And if you are a founder, remember this: the world only bends to the builders bold enough to demand it.
